How to repair a tear in the back of a suede sofa?

My dogs ripped the backing of my Wickes suede sectional and ate the fabric (so I can't sew it back). How can I repair it?

match the thread color to your couch, make sure the thread is upholstery thread you can get it at any fabic or craft store, and use the half curved needle and sew from inside the rip out that way you barely see the stitching
