My Proform 740CS stops while running?

Using my 740cs treadmill, it stops while running. The power stays on. No power problems. What's wrong with it?
Thanks!

Thanks Jeff and Chad:
Actually, I have this treadmill for about 3 years, and I never lubricated the belt. There are no humming noises or smell when it happens, so the motor is okay. The sensor shuts it down probably due to the frictional heat created within 20 minutes. After about 5 minutes, it's back to work.
Is there a particular lubricant to use on this treadmill belt?

Thanks!

It is most likely your motor is worn out, does it make excessive humming noise? Have you noticed any burning odor? If so you need to replace it. Are you using it on deep pile carpet? this would reduce the air flow into the motor housing as air is drawn in under the unit. Are you using an extension cord? This will also cause overheating in the motor due to the resistance in the cord. It is not recommended you use extention cords however, if necessary use the appropriate gauge. It is also important to lubricate the walking belt, it is recommended by most manufacturers to lubricate monthly.

More than likely it's a friction/heat problem. The heat sensor shuts the motor down to protect the motor and electronics from burning up. I reccomend that you replace the walking belt (they cost 50 to 80 bucks depending on where you buy them)and lubricate it every 6 months with a proper treadmill belt lubricant. Now you could simply lubricate the belt without replacing it, and that will most likely provide a temporary fix, but just as likely will lead to more parts needing replacement within the year.
