how do i go about tightening my fan belt on a 1995 vauxhall astra 1.7td

go to the garage.

Slacken the bolt on top of alternator get a small metal bar and gently put pressure on alternator intill fan belt feels tight then tighten up bolt. You will need sombody to help you to hold bar as you tighten bolt
