I have a 1998 Nissan Micra SR and recently an orange light has been flashing on the dashboard. It says check on it.
Has anyone any idea what it could be and how I would go about fixing it?

It is a common problem with micra's. It is an engine warning light, to fix it you must take your micra to a garadge, they will reset the car to its former state! after a short time after the orange light goes on the micra will go into 'go home mode' which will enable you to drinve your car or will limit you to 20mph/
Usually 70 pound for resettting whih only takes 2 mins for garadge to do , bit of a rip off

Just brought a Nissan Almera (1996) with a few problems. One of them been the oil was almost empty. Upon topping it up to the required standard the orange light with "check" on has now gone out, So i'm assuming it's a warning light for oil levels on Nissan cars.

Now i just need to figure out why my washer fluid light is on even though it's topped up to the max lol

cleaned the dipstick and checked oil and the light went off

i think its to check the oil.ive got the same car and have had the light flashing today.I checked the oil and it seemed low so im going to change it to see if theres any difference
