Hi, Can anyone help please? I have owned my vectra for 2 years without a problem. Over the last week the factory fitted alarm has gone crazy (shortly after having a new exhaust manifold gasket fitted...coincidence????). It started to go off once a night for no reason, then twice or three times in the day. Yesterday, it went off 10 -30 seconds after setting it, (by either the remote or by the key in the lock), every time I locked the doors.
Today i locked it and it hasnt gone off yet in over 2 hours? But Im waiting anxiously.

Any ideas or suggestions would really be appreciated.
Vauxhall want £60 plus vat just to analyse? AAAARRRGGGHHHH. Thanks.

Hi I have a vectra 1998 and the same thing has been happing to me. We have taken it to two vauxhall dealers, the first said it was the ECU and took it out without asking the second replaced it for £256.00 and the alarms still went off. After 3 weeks of the car going back and fourth, and checking of everything(they say) they have no idea what is making this happen. Yesterday they refunded the money we have spent on it and told us to take it to a auto electrician. We have it booked in for tomorrow but not feeling very confident as they have said it has to be done by a Vauxhall dealer but they will have a look, at this stage what have we got to loss.
