My dishwasher has stopped working, when i switch it on the front panel has 2 lights flashing together, what does that mean? Does that mean the pump has gone as it swithces on lets water out at the beginning of the cycle but does nothing more.

Mine did the same in jan 07 too,,,

Unplug it - pull it out, get a load of towels and lean it backwards to let the water drain out

That worked first time ...

Coincidentally two days ago it started to do something similar .. so i took the top and side covers off, did the drain thing ( no water in it this tome though ) took off the bottom plate, wiggled all the wires and pushed them on as hard as i could .. hit the big motor three times with the base of a screwdriver - put it all back together and it works like a dream again lol

worth a go before you call someone out :)
