How do I change the drive belt on my 1999 Mondeo 1.8 Zetec?

How do I change the drive belt on my 1999 Mondeo 1.8 Zetec?
Philip Rothwell, January 2005
simple jack up right hand side of the car & remove front wheel. remove back part ofwheel well liner 2 screws, this gives easy access to drive belt. Remove drive belt cover 2 screws or bolts.
Put a socket on the tensioner pulley and apply pressure so that the belt slackens (note the route of the belt) slip of the belt and replace with a new one. Follow the route of the old belt leaving the tension pulley until last put the socket on tension pulley apply pressure and slip the belt on. replace parts removed for access. should take about 30mins to 1 hour

It is very difficult.I think thjis is one of the taboos of the mondeo.I dont know if it is exactly like the latest mondeo but i gave up on mine and took it to the garage. It cost me £42 which i thought was good price. These cars have an automatic tensioner on the and it needs to come off and not a lot of room.Sorry mate good luck
