How can I turn down my Creda storage heater?

I have a Creda Storage Radiator (I can't see a model name or number). At the bottom there is a dial marked 'auto pilot' which I cant turn below 22. Other markings on the dial are 24 and 26. There are also two dials on the top of the radiator. One is marked Room Temperature and has the options 1 to 6 and the other is Operating Mode with the options of Home or Away.

I find the heater gets hotter than I would like and want to reduce the temperature if possible but I don't have the instruction manual so don't really have any idea how to best use the different dials.

Any help would be appreciated!

as i understand it , if you turn the home away switch to away, it slows down the release of heat, the numbers are for the heat storage overnight, so freezing winter put it on the highest number and lower numbers as it gets warmer, autumn spring.

I have exactly the same heater with exactly the same problem!! Did you ever find an answer to the home and away thing???

The dial with numbers goes from 14->26 i think... thats the temprature one. The others are for input (how much it will heat up) and the other one is for the time it releases the heat. Turn the INPUT one down...
