something is stopping the water leaving the machine.if you are sure that the pump is running, check drain screen filter and pipes for blockage, outlet hose for kinks or blockages, etc, if possible, remove machine waste pipe from drain and allow it to pump into sink or a bucket placed on a worktop, not on the floor, as this will prove the pump is working. if the flow from the pipe is slow, then the problem lies in the pump(partial blockage), or between the pump and the tub. it's not unknown for a sock or other small item of clothing to get between the inner and outer tub and block tub outlet. this can usually be removed after taking off the pipe between the pump and the tub. check for the small change, pennies and 5p especially, that may jam the pump occasionally! this is probably the most common fault on auto washers.REMEMBER!!! switch off and remove plug from wall socket BEFORE removing any panels or putting your hand inside! water and electricity DO NOT MIX!
