How do I oil my Kenwood Chef KM201, and what kind of oil should I use?

I have a 15 year old Kenwood Chef KM201 and while cooking tonight I could smell burning! I think it just needs oil but I am unsure about the type of oil and where exactly to put it?

Clever you if you got the 'food' grease purposed for greasing a Kenwood Chef. Screw-Fix group charged me about £17.00 for a tube. Then it got delayed getting to Argos for me to collect!! Presume you can put some in the top slot?

It needs to be food safe grease. I was told by an kw engineer that you can use Vaseline.

You can buy a special grease especially for Kenwood mixers - it has to be a special food grade lubricant. I have just ordered a tube from Curry's Partmaster online. I think it was £5. I have a Kenwood A701 so cannot advise where the lubricant should go.
