FORD MONDEO 1.8 1997.

I have replaced the offside wishbone, but can only get the balljoint pin so far up. I have tried putting a jack underneath the balljoint, but it will still not move any further in.

lee try ..if the ball joint is having difficulty fitting back in then get yourself a wedge/cold chisel and open the stub axle up by removing the pinch bolt and placing the wedge/chisel into the gap in the stub axle where the pinch bolt was then try to engage the bottom balljoint somtimes the new balljoint is just that new not worn and so needs a bigger gap.hope that helps m8

Secure ball joint end first THEN replace the 2 bolts in subframe, it's a doddle that way.
