no heat from awz121 whirlpool dryer?

All seems to be working fine, but suddenly no heat coming from the dryer.

Thought it was the element at the back, as have replaced before, but ordered new one off ebay and still the same.

Thought I might have been sold a duff one, but they seem ok and willing to replace, however have heard there is a second thermostat inside, though don't know if this is right as thought they were built into the element. If this exists and is broken, would all work the same but with no heat if the element is ok?

Grateful to anyone who can shed light on the problem.

Yes, there is another thermostat (as well as the two? on the heater). It is clipped or screwed into the plastic ducting under the drum. Two wires connected to this part (spade connectors) Thermostat part no. TY9285020 marked NC60. Cost approx £25. There are loads of similar thermostats with the same temperature rating, but they are physically different.

Hi. had the same problem and it was the thermal fuse on the top of the element can. Easy to test with a multi meter. Part came with bottom one to, so i changed both, dryer works perfect. always check or test the thermal fuses first. They wear out over time. Parts were 40.00 .....Hope this helps you.
