My Valliant VCW GB 242EH Boiler trips out then performs OK after re-set Brit Gas cannot find the fault they have also spoken to Valliant who also I am informed (by BG) have no idea what the fault could be !!! anybody any ideas???

Isthe boiler running when it trips or does it trip on firing up.
tripping whilst the boiler is running and then ok after reset sounds like dodgey high limit stat.
Tripping on initial fire up sounds like flame rectification (gone to lock out).
