the thermostat may wwell be the problem. it has 2 thermostat, sort ot double pole connection. one on the live line and one on the neutral line. good way to make sure is by removing the back, take the wires off the thermostat, making sure you remember which goes where. use a multimeter, and chec for continuity between the terminals. if they are faulty there will not be any continiuty between the terminals
