Also heard that the asian models are so cheaply made repairmen dont want to work on them.So dont bUy asian made junk! they copy everything we make, use child labor to manufacture it, and it is usually good for one or two jobs then the scrapyard. SO HOW IS IT CHEAPER TO BUY THIS JUNK?

ok i will answer my own question! i got mad at it and stripped it down, had to make a special tool to take off the chain brake first.basically the saw body is made of plastic ,smart move eh !! it melted, causing all sorts of problems, the saw blade had twisted out of shape, the casing melted against the silencer, and the chain oiler pump had lost contact with the drive shaft when the casing warped.
two days fettling and filing with extra lumps of spare alloy sheet (checker plate) i had lying around, now has the thing working again, but is not what you would expect from a new saw,its only been used 6 times !!
when i tried to find a complaints department for macculloch on the internet ,my suspicions that this is a cheep rebadged asian copy were confirmed when i read some of the comments from other disgruntled customers.
be warned !!!!
