2001 vectra brake sensor?

can i do away with the brake sensors or can i repair mine, because the wear limit light is on and i have been told that means the brake sesor wire is broken 2001 vectra diesel

simply cut the wire on the sensor and twist the two wires together then just keep a visual check on their condition.
