My ps2 won't turn on, please tell me how to fix it?

My partners ps2 won't turn on, you have to position the power cable in exactly the right place and then weigh it down,(not safe or practical) we've tried a new power cable but that didn't work! Please help, I'm getting ear-ache!!!!!!

dude litsen u must charge it and then drop a bit off water at the motar to fry it then it will be boosted by the fry so u can use dont worry ur ps2 will work trust me
