What is wrong with my Triton T70si? Why is my shower "kettleing?"?

I have a Triton T70si 7kW shower fitted. When I turn off the shower using the control wheel, I can hear the water start to bubble and boil up inside. I can only stop this happening by operating the pull cord to cut the power. If I don't do this quickly the power light eventually goes off (thermal cut out???) If I switch the water flow back on, the water is initially very hot.
Any help will be appreciated.

after finishing your shower turn the water to maximum pressure until the water cools, then turn the water off. I do this to prevent the thermal cut out from operating

I have a similar problem. Rang Triton and their Tec people say it's the thermal cut out on the pipe, not the one on top of the "can". It's available as a spare for about £22. Give them a call 024 7637 2222. hope this helps.
