I have a 'G' reg Transit diesel. It recently broke down, and the RAC guy got it going by by passing the overflow spill pipes (one had split) however, although I've replaced and located one end pipe (onto the pump) where does the other end of the chain of pipes go to?

As you say one end goes to the pump, the other end should just be blanked off. Some just have a rubber cap held on with a small bit of twisted wire.
