When switched on, seems to drain and then star filling ok. After about 1 -2 mins it just stops and then the two lights come on. Dishwasher is hotpoint bf1620

I had this problem and it was under warranty. The water heater had gone! According to engineer error code was saying that "no hot water" hence the water heater replacement needed. I don't want to sound negative but I have never had an appliance that has had so many problems. It seems nowadays that everything is so technical. Why they just can't have an on and off switch fails me! Good luck.

I had the same dishwasher from new 18 months ago and have hd nothing but trouble with it. Try turning it off at the wall and leaving it for about 10 mins then should reset itself. I have had to have a new water heater after 11 months! I now have the 2nd and 4th light flashing and it smells of burning inside and now I am out the 12 month warranty. Never known such a heap of junk!! Good luck.
