How can I investigate alert "Check Injection" 2004 Megane Deisel 1.9?

My 2004 Megane 1.9 Deisel's 3 year warranty just ran out and the service light has come on with the message "Check Injection" on the dash. Its running fine at the moment.
Renault want £43 just to run diagnostics. Any ideas?
