Fluctutating pressure in Glowworm 24ci?

Getting annoying problem with my boiler - came home the other day and the pressure was reading 4.5. Frantically bled one of the radiators till the pressure went back down to 1.0. But since then it's been constantly up and down - it'll read 0.5 so I fill it gently with the blue tap. Couple of hours later it'll be up to 3.0 and higher and i'll be bleeding one of the radiators again. And so on and so on. It never seems to stay steady. Any ideas?

Hello richard, firstly you need to check the condition of your water in the system, these boilers are prone to blockages in the pipe that leads to the expansion vesselyou will need to drain the boiler, and then release ther pressure from the expansion vessel. then clear the pipe with a peice of wir but make sure you release the pressure from the expansion vessel first, on completion recharge the expansion vessel first to 0.5 bar with the pipe disconnected. or contact a local corgi registered gbas installer or British gas. i have been to a few boiler that have been ruined by DIY repairs

a boiler of that age shouldn't need recharging. i would say that you expansion vessel needs to be replaced
