i have a triton electric shower and the pull chord electric switch that it is turned on and off by has a burnt live wire on the load port, what would have caused this. Needless to say the shower does not work now.
In my experience its usually a loosely clamped wire. Also check the kilowatt rating of the shower to see what Ampage switch you need. It's nothing to do with the shower itself.
A 9.5kW usually needs a 40A Switch and a 10.5kW 45A.

Possibly caused by a loose connection, or maybe the switch not correct one,you need a 45 or 50 amp d/p switch.
