hotpoint washing machine aquarius+super silent wf630 1300 spin?

when put on a cycle it will wash but when it is time to rinse and spin it will empty all the water then it just slowly turns around until the time runs down, when it reaches 1 minute it will just keep going forever, so i have to set a rinse and spin cycle this works. anyone know what the problem is thanks.

Hi Baz

This looks like you have had the problem for a while and may have got it fixed. Anyway if anyone else has had a similar problem, like me I got an engineer to look at the problem and it was down to the heating element or the thermostat being broken (I wasn't listening that much). Because the water was not heating up, or not registering as being heated up the washing machine was waiting for the water temperature to increase. Because it would never happen the machine times out to 1 minute and keeps going forever. It was replaced by the engineer in about 10 minutes
