How to get central locking working on a ford focus 1.8 zetec S reg?

The central locking does not work on my focus its not been working for a long time i have change the batteryon the key when it stopped working and it still does not work i have been told if you take it to ford it is about £200 pound to fix surley this is not true is there any way i can fix it.

The fuse for central locking is fuse No.63, it's an odd one located at the back of the fuse box. You have to undo 2 bolts holding the fuse box in place,lower/twist the fuse box and you will see it, as far as I recall it's a 20Amp fuse, but don't quote me on that one.
