Ford Focus 1998 how do youb ajust the hand brake?

There is to much play in the handbrake how do i ajust this.

start by removing the handbrake lever leather surround , where you'll find a 10 mm nut, be sure not 2 over tighten

Pull lever up 3 clicks and then tighten till handbrake holds good
