Hoover Self Propelled WindTunnel 12AMP motor, cleaning performance=31.0. Model #U6476-910,Series Q12.0. When I move the switch from on to off nothing happens,it stays on. I have to uplug from wall. It doesn't do it all the time. I bought the vacumn about 7 months ago.

we have the same vacuum in our resort. if you take apart the handle you will see that the switch for the on/off part inside needs to be reinforced with a piece of something hard so that the on/off swich will work when you put the handle back on the vacuum. i have found that a piece of white plexiglass that the guys had in the shop worked very well for this problem. if you have any questions, please e mail me at julleye@mncable.com i have worked with hoover for the last ten years. feel free to email me with your questions. julie
