How do I change the belt on my Electrolux 2000 canister Vacuum?

The belt on the power nozzle snapped but
I cannot figure out how to get to the belt without taking the whole thing apart.

You must take off the top cover. It is held on with five screws that are in holes on the bottom of the Power Nozzle. Remove the five screws, the one on the front coner is shorter that the others and must go back in the correct hole. After you take off the cover, you will see the belt. You now remove the brush, screws on either end it hold it in place. Get a new belt at your local vacuum shop, or go to www.aerusonline.com (new name for electrolux) and find your local dealer.
