Xsara with ac heater blower not working?

Hi

recentley the blower for the heater would only work on the full setting and then stopped all together. It has worked twice in the last couple of months it just started and then stopped again does anyone have any ideas as the is no haynes manual for the age of my car (2002). If i need to change the blower its self is it easy to do...i think it is located in the passenger footwell below the passenger airbag.....if i try to fix it can i set off the airbag?.....

please help its cold outside.

The resistor is behind the glove box. I Changed one on my 02 1.4 Xsara. Heater only working on fourth speed.

It is most likely to be just your resistor pack if your motor only runs on full speed, this is quite easy to replace but will require the removal of the heater motor this is just 3 screws (6mm socket size) and the motor will come out (with a bit of wiggling) then remove the philps screw in the end of the housing and lift the motor out and the resistor pack is just there, if the motor has stopped working all together it could be the motor thats failed, same proceedure as above just a hell of a lot more money.
