Dyson DC07?

Brush won't turn & there is a sound similar to gears stripping when she tilts the upright back.

Hi.

The clutch unit is faulty needs replacing. Manuals are available which tell you how to strip down & repair Look on Bid-alot action site.

Hi
Sounds like the Brush Bar clutch has broken.
You can buy one from Cowans Electrical on 01702 340000

Hope this helps

The sound is the ratchet (kind of torque clutch), all (i think) dysons have this feature - designed to slip if the rotating brush gets stuck or tangled up with anything. Take a look underneath at the rotating brush and clear out any thing that could be stopping the brush turning. Best bet by unwinding in the oposite way to which it wound on, or cutting fibres/hair free.
