How can I fix my 1997 Renault Laguna RXE hatch boot lock?

The lock no longer locks when the central locking is activated or the key is used - the barrel just goes round and round! Is it the lock or the central locking mechanism at fault and how easy is it to repair? Other locks all work fine.

take off plastic pannel inside boot lid , will see mech , plastic lock tab broken off , will probably have to change it .
