How do I fit new drive belt for Zanussi tumble dryer TC481W?

Tumble drier stopped tumbling although still heating. Took back off and drive belt was loose. Bought new one but not sure how to fit it - it seems to be as loose as the worn one. Any ideas? Is there another cog to fit the belt round other than the drum and the cog at the bottom?

No and no. The cog as you call it: Jockey or tensioner or idler wheel takes up the slack in the belt. this is 1975mm long for a Tc481, can't remember for a Td200. Principle is the same. The motor has a spring attatched to its body. You have to rotate the motor on its fixings to get a different angle of dangle on the pulley. Usually, rotate clockwise whilest fighting belt over same. If you are new at this it will also slip off the drum when you try to get it over the motor shaft. If you dont do it in 10 goes, call ServiceForce.

Hi Chris,
I have the same problem with a td200 machine.
Replacement drive belt appears to fit around main cog and a smaller spindle, but not certain how this is fitted.
Please - anyone out there can you help both of us ?
Many thanks. David
