Our Ge Refrigerator ice maker works and the instant ice on the door works but not the water. There is a new filter so it is not that. Any ideas on how to fix the water part?

When you say the water was frozen in the tube how did you clear it. You mentioned that you held on to the pipe to defrost it with the warmth of your hand. When you open the door to the freezer there aren't any other parts showing except the hole where the ice falls. It's very puzzling unless you unscrew the inside door panel.

We have had the same problem and basically the water in the tube had frozen because ice from the ice maker had got trapped in the feeder. Once that had cleared I held onto the water pipe and warmed it with my fingers until it defrosted.
