How to repair filter queen majestic?

Hello, I have had my filter queen for about ten years now. I haven't had any major problems with it until now. The motor in the main casing is working but the bottom assemble will not. On the handle there is a plug that the cord for the bottom assembly plugs into, it was very loose and the plug would not stay in, I replaced the plug tonight. It did not work. I also replace the belt. I have removed the motor and cleaned it out. I do this periodically to keep it running the way it should. I couldn't remember whitch way the motor went back in. Could you send a diagram of the proper assembly. I wonder if I put the motor in upside down? The writting on the motor should be facing the top? Any way, if you could send any sugestions about what I could have done, it would be greatly appreciated. I have two filter queen vaccuums, I got a BOGO deal, I have traded the motors and it is not the motor. They were both working. I think it may be the short cord that is attached to the hose that connects to the canister housing. It seems too loose. I don't know. Can you help me please. Thank you for your time Karen Kelley.

My wife bought a Filter Queen Majestic some years ago.
Have had no problems up until now. The problem is with the power cable that goes into the motor which is a sealed unit. Have it back working, if the cable is held in a particular position, which is not convenient.
What information I require is, are their any dealerships in Scotland. Tried a few other vacuum dealerhips, not interested. I am repeating myself here, where in Scotland can I get a technician out to my house to repair this fault??

I sell filter queen machines. im not sure what you mean about the motor? did you take the motor apart itself? if so why.. it has a lifetime warranty on the whole machine and could have been fixed by a tech or replaced for free. the majestic itself is pretty basic to put back together after cleaning. alighn the wheel to the inlet on the machine were the hose goes, then align the switch on the motor to the inlet tube and lock the clamps back on and your done. of coarse the filter would be put on before the motor but that goes without saying.. anyway hope this helps

Did you try replacing the cord that goes from the power head handle to the actual canister? That sometimes gets loose.
