how can i fix my tumble dryer creda TCS3?

If the dryer is empty then it works fine. If you put washing in it tries to turn and occassionally manages to, but normally just makes a sound as if struggling. I dont think its the belt otherwise the motor would spin and not the drum. Is it the motor, and if so can I rebuild it or ????

these are induction motors and generally reliable, most likely fault is with the capacitor.it will be mounted on or near the motor with 2 spade terminals on top.the rating of it should be printed on its side and expressed in microfarrads.match the number with any capacitor and its will work.as with any repair remove the appliance from the supply, prove it,and test before switching back on.
