Gilera DNA 125 will not start?

Hi,

I'm having problems with my DNA125. It will not start from the start switch.

I can however get the bike to start ok if I short the starter relay manually, and I have continuity all the way from the ignition key and starter switch.

The brake light and horn are also dead, although the back lights work ok which leads me to believe its some kind of electric cut out switch/immobiliser. I also have no continuity from both brake lever switches.

Anyone any ideas?!

Where is the immobiliser switch on the dna?....My boys wont start . theres spark to plug...ive replaced reed block...tap etc...cleaned carb...one min it was running then 3 days after he came off it just stopped mid ride...it seems like fuel starvation???????

I've fixed the fault!

Turns out there is a short on the connection for the automatic choke. For some reason this is connected to the immobiliser and back lights, hence the reason it would not start.

Hope this conversation with myself helps out someone else with a Gilera Problem!

I'd like to add that I am the legal owner of this bike, and do have the logbook and key for the bike! I can supply a picture of these before anyone gives an answer if you like.

I also have a DNA180 and have swapped the ICU unit over and it still won't start. I've also swapped the starter relay with no luck.

I am about to temporarily rewire the lights through the ecu just as it shows in my Haynes manual to see if the lights start working.
