McCulloch Dakota 442 does not want to start Plug gap needed?

Hi i have borrowed a McCulloch chainsaw Dakota 442 can any one give me the correct sparkplug gap as i cant seem to keep it running and it does not want to fire up easaly.

plug gap is 20 thou, or the thickness of a normal hacksaw blade
try the plug in another engine
BEWARE IF TESTING FOR A SPARK WITH PLUG HELD AGAINST
CHAINSAW ANY FUEL SPITTING OUT OF PLUG HOLE WILL SET
THE MACHINE ON FIRE
fit another plug into plug hole whilst testing for spark.
sounds like stale fuel causing your problem
