Key not opening car, Vauxhall Vectra, 1999 2ltr Diesel?

Unable to open the car using central locking or when the key is directly into the lock on the drivers side, the key fits but does not turn in any direction, same with the boot. Can you help.
Mrs Alison Burt, March 2007
Place the key in the ignition, switch on but don't start the engine. Press the remote button on the key fob to close and open the central locking a couple of times, this will re-sync the key.

Spray in some WD40,the locks seize up because people use the fob all the time, when you use the remote function it does not turn the lock so they get stuck.
