which wire does the magneto go to for my 5 hp engine to start? I have tried to hookup the wire from the points to the wire but i dont know if it is the right one help.

If your engine has point the magneto wire goes in the small hole in the end of the condenser. It is retained with a spring that goes onto the condenser first. The spring is compressed to slip the wire into the hole, then released to pin the wire in place.
