I have a craftsman LT1000 model 917.272761...when I attempt to engage the mower deck the blades do not turn. I have traced the point where you engage the deck to the deck and cannot find any breakage and have checked the belt and all seems fine. The pullies seem to move fine and so do the blades. Any suggestions?
i had a similar problem myself there is a shaft which connects the pulley to the blade and this was corroded and fused to the housing a couple of squirts of release oil and a tap of a hammer did the job
