Need help repairing JVC DV CAMERA GR-DVX707EK?

I have an JVC DIGITAL VIDEO CAMERA GR-DVX 707EK. The problem is that a small blue dot has appeared in the middle of the screen. I put in a tape that had some recordings before the blue dot appeared and there was no sign of the dot. Used a blank tape recorded a couple of minutes with it and when played the blue dot shows up on the recording this tells me its not the LCD screen that’s the problem .I live in the channel islands and nowhere can repair here and it would cost quite a bit to send it away for repair. I have some experience repairing electrical devices (mp3 players, digital cameras) but video cameras are unknown grounds to me. There's a chance I may be able to get hold of an JVC DV CAMERA GR-DVX400 which is supposed to be the same camera just without the extras on it. Would I be able to exchange the parts from the 400 to 707 if so which parts and how? Or can I order the parts I need if so any idea which parts I need?

hi, how to repair lens cap fault on my jvc dx 95 camcorder

l.pankhurst, January 2010
Oh dear,It looks like you might have a faulty CCD image chip this is immediately behind the camera lens.
put the camcorder on record standby if this is the case you will see the blue spot in the Lcd monitor
The fault could be dead pixels, the ccd chip has millions of
red green &blue pixels in it.
You will have to get it looked at by a camcorder engineer
from JVC..
