washing machine Hotpoint wd64 will not drain when cycle is finished?

Washing machine is still full of water when the cycle has finished. When cycle starts water leaks from door and draw where you put the powder and softner.

I had same issue with this except no leaking from the door. The reason for the machine not draining was a small sock stuck just by the pump. I called someone out who fixed it in minutes, 2nd time i fixed it myself.

Unplug, get a bucket and remove all hosed etc. Take off back of machine. At the centre bottom at the back there is a small black rubber l shaped part. i think this takes the water from the drum via the pump. lean the machine forward against a wall and slip a tray underneat the black rubber part (about 3-4 inchs or 10cm deep should do it. Undo the little bracket that is holding the black rubber around the bottom of the drum. My ickle socks were stuck in there and thus stopping the machine from draining properly
