i have a snapper riding mower w/ some sort of slide drive how dose this wo?

i need to know how to repair/check the drive system on my snapper riding mower it is a 9hp 28" cut singel blade unit about 2002 modle. the park brake will release but it dose not move. it appears to have a clutch that uses the bottom of the moter to drive the lawn mower. is there some way to adjust this or direction to change this out

There are two allen head screws on the disk attached to the motor. Loosen both (don't take them out) then the disk will slide on the shaft. Put the mower in first gear, and drop the motor disk until it touches the drive disk. then tighten the screws.
Depressing the clutch slightly and dropping the motor disk will give more pulling power but you run the risk of rubbing your motor disk, which is a bad thing.

make sure rubber tire 'driven' wheel moves from center over to one side of 'drive' wheel, and that 'driven' wheel is pressed firmly into 'drive' wheel. if 'drive' wheel moves 'driven' wheel with motor running and it still doesn't move you may have one of two small chains in rear end broken.
