my renault was running fine from the day i brought it. but today it will not start, i have tried everything, no joy. i was told that it was the battery, but it's okay, the engine turns but will not start please help me++++

before i get into the car the red light is flashing,when i unlock the door the light is still flashing,i get into the car i press the key again the light goes out,i put the key in the iginition put it in start position the little light comes on it flashes then goes out it turns over but it will not start++
