I have a Kenmore electric dryer that works but does not heat?

Is it the thermostat? Or can it be the heating element? Do you have pictures and diagrams to help troubleshoot? The dryer is a Kenmore Ultra fabric care Dryer, Model # 96590140, Serial# MF2123888, help?

Right now, I can tell you it's not the thermal cutoff. I replaced the cutoff thinking that on my 1 year old series 80 dryer it couldn't be anything major. Unless some has a better idea, I'm going to go shell out the $50 for the heating element. Nuts.

I would suggest checking the internal ductwork, sensors, and heating element. Check out this website for diagrams. http://www.repairclinic.com Derek
