How can I fix the clock and change the outside temp guage from farenheight?

I have a 03 Mondeo Zetec Tcdi, the battery flattened when I left the sidelights on overnight. Now the clock does not work and the outside temperature reads Farenheight instead of Centigrade. Also I cannot get to the inside fuse box behind the glove box

To get to the fuse box behind the glove box you
1. Reach to the top left corner of the glove box for a lever which you push to the left to release
2. Drop the box down and squeeze the ends together to release the "catches" - if you look you will see what I refer to
3. Drop the box down as far as it will go then pull sharply to release the final clips

Replacement is reversal of above!!!

To change temp read out to Centigrade first select the temp display then press the button beneath the display window

I suspect the clock is in fact working but shows the wrong time???
