how do i bleed my escort td 1.8 after fuel filter replacement

p.s, if you havn`t done it yet, dont just take the fuel line of the filter as it will still be under pressure, first remove the fuse for your fuel pump, start the engine and it should run for a few secound then cut out. this will depressurise the fuel system, disconnect the battery then replace the filter.

you dont need to, the fuel pump will supply the pressure to push the fuel through the system (like when you run out of fuel), should only need to turn the engine over a few times, the inlet stroke will also create a vacum, sucking the air in the system and fuel into the cylinders
