I have a 2005 vauxhall corsa 1.0 litre and my reverse lights have stopped working. I don't think it is the bulbs.

Along with the above there is a relay in the system that may well be the problem. The reversing light switch on the front of the gearbox can be checked with amultimeter - with the car in revers and the engine shut off you should have continuity through the switch if not it will be the relay in the fuse box.

If you have checked the bulbs, fuses and still no luck there then open the bonnet and look at the transmission housing and you will see a plug called a reversing switch, unscrews and is a five min job to replace it and your lights will then work. Depending on your car you may have to take out the air cleaner element and casing to get to switch if located on the top of transmission. hope this helps, steve
