HOW DO I REPLACE WORN ROLLER BEARINGS ON MY FLYMO LAWNMOWER ?

MY FLYMO MODEL TYPE RE42-2 HAS WORN TOP AND BOTTOM MOTER ROLLER BEARINGS. HOW CAN I REMOVE THEM AND FIT REPLACEMENTS ? PRODUCT NUMBER 9644272-25 ON LABEL.

I suspect its not possible to replace just the bearings though if you can get them off the motor an engineering supplies place may have suitable - mine on an HC350 look fairly standard but I have yet to try removing them.

Whole motors are offered by several places

dont know about your model but they are looking for £40 for the one I need

Frankly I think it ridiculous that they have failed after about 10 hours use!

Unfortunately you can't! The motors (apart from a couple, where you can at least get replacement brushes!) are not repairable - unless you go and sit on Electrolux's door step and demand they give you the part you need! So, unless you wish to pay between £60 - £90 for a replacement motor, best to consign it to the scrap-yard.
