I need to replace the front wheel bearing on my 97 Ford Escort. I am having trouble getting the nut off. I have tried pry bars on the end of my ratchet and also tried an impact wrench. Should it really be so tight that an impact wrench won't loosen it? Or do I have more damage than I thought?

Hey Angela K.,Nice shot. Replies are quite late ,or even non existant on this site. I just found this site April 2 /07,myself,and am trying to fill some of the blanks where i can. By the way , what was the answer to your problem? Iwould be interested in knowing.
